Welcome to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School

I graduated from Cedar Valley High School in 1983. In 1988, I graduated from Mankato State University (currenty Minnesota State University) with a B.S. in Social Studies (History Emphasis). From 1990 - 1994, I was employed by Rockwell City/Lytton C.S.D. as the instructional coordinator of Harvest Acres Chemical Dependency Treatment Facility and as a Social Studies instructor at Rockwell City/Lytton High School. In August, 1994, I joined the staff of Clarion-Goldfield as a Social Studies instructor. In 1999, I received my M.S. in school counseling from Wayne State College. From 2008 - 2021, I served as the high school guidance counselor. In 2010, I received my administrative endorsement from Morningside College. I have served as the high school principal from 2020 - present. I was an assistant football coach during the 1994 season, and I was the head football coach from 1995 - 2015. I was the assistant boys basketball coach from 1994 - 2009 and the assistant girls basketball coach from 2010 - 2021. Because my first passion in education was teaching, I continue to teach two dual credit classes: Introduction to Psychology and Developmental Psychology. Finally, I have been a behind the wheel drivers education instructor for more years than I care to remember. My wife, Danielle, and I have three daughters: Kelsey, Quinn, and Lauren, and one English Springer Spaniel, Gus.
